CIMARQ SHOWS THE SUCCESSFUL RESULTS OF CONCRETE MATURITY METHOD AND OTHER NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTS THAT ALLOWED CONSIDERABLE CONSTRUCTION COST REDUCTIONS

CIMARQ has participated on the VII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF STRUCTURES of the Spanish Technical Association of Structural Engineering (ACHE), where three communications about the application of a new procedure called armature.es (registered brand since 2010) based on concrete maturity method and other non-destructive testing was exposed by Prof. Dr. Cristina Vázquez-Herrero, director of this innovative methodology.

This research, aimed at reducing construction deadline of structural concrete structures, and consequenlty construction costs, has been carried out for more than seven years, and has been successfully applied to reduce construction costs in both highway and high speed railway bridges, as well as in precast concrete plants in both Spain and Mexico. This procedure will soon be applied also in the USA.

We acknowledge the support of both the University of A Coruña and the Institute of Engineernig of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). We also appreciate the collaboration of the following companies: Sacyr, OHL, Prefabricados Faro, Prefabricados Castelo, Isolux Corsán, Aldesa and Arias Hermanos, whose invaluable support helped develop this research.
